1. There are two univerisal statements (A, E) and two particular statements (I, O)
Quantity inidicators: All, No, Some   Quality: refers to whether a statement is viewed as positive or negative.  It is based on the  structure of the statement, not the content of the statement.
Copula--present tense of the verb "to be":  are/is, are not/is not:  joins subject term with predicate term  
Distribution refers to terms. Terms are noun/noun phrases    A distributed term is one that is being refered to universally--all in the class are being discussed.    The position in which a term finds itself in any given statement determines whether it's distrubted.  Learn the rules of distribution!!!! (refer to chart on Pg. 204)
