Please note. Several basic variables are ordinarily evaluated in web designing, and one optimation or one lowest common denominator simply won't satisfy everybody. Comments below speak to specific questions.
Resolution & Color Depth. These screens are optimized for SVGA 1024x768x256 video or better, viewed fullscreen (maximized). At 640x480 or 800x600, horizontal sliders will appear use "View" to "Decrease Font". If you reset your own computer video to 1024x768, you may care to reset item fonts (Control Panel / Display / Appearance / Item) to Arial at 13 points (or similar), and then to Save (SaveAs) the new settings under a new name (Control Panel / Display / Scheme). Be aware that SVGA 1024x768 is nowadays standard; 800x600 is set by many games which aren't up to that standard; and mere VGA 640x480 is long since superseded (indeed, it superseded the even clunkier CGA color standard). Most people just choose to disbelieve that settings for screen resolution and color depth, and for browsers' font sizes, are elementary.
Browsers & Computer Types. These screens are also optimized for Netscape Communicator 4.7 or better, and only secondarily for Internet Explorer 4 or better, for "PC" computers (with AMD and Intel processors). Different browsers interpet the same code and paint screens from it differently (often much differently in nonPC computers).
Frames & Printouts. Among frames (subwindow screen areas), the frame you intend to print must be "active" before it will print. If you seem to be printing "blank" pages or the wrong ones, click first on the frame (screen area) that you intend to print.
Links & Navigation. The link to SalvatoreJoseph.com provided at the top of each frame is there to enable you to reach the full frameset of our website in the event that a search engine or other source delivered you to an isolated page outside the frameset. If you press that link, your browser may launch a new copy. In that event, your prior browser copy should still be active, and in Windows 95/98/NT/2000 you can use Alt+Tab to navigate among your computer windows.
Java & Java Script. We may from time to time employ (or deploy) an unobtrusive Java Script in order to ascertain both viewers' screen resolutons and browser versions, for the sake of displaying suitably optimized files. We have no record, other than a simple count of visitors' screen resolutions and browser versions, of your computer's visit. If your computer experiences any difficulties while you are viewing this website, the odds are remarkably good that our unobtrusive Java Script is not responsible. However, we would appreciate your telling us your screen resolution and browser version we can at least review our Java Script, and advise you to upgrade in the event that you are using an outmoded browser.
Cookies & Interruptions. Cookies are little files written by webpage scripts to your own computer; some are good or harmless, some are just bad. We set no cookies (and detest mere marketeers' usual methods). The sole exception will be in the instance of the secure server which may deploy cookies just to ensure that when you start a secure purchase transaction, it stays secure even if you disappear. If marketeers' absurd cookies intrude, we would appreciate being told the details (to Webmaster).
